Marygrove's 19th annual Jeff Clinton Memorial Golf Classic at Norwood Hills Country Club is on June 12th. Tournament format is a four person scramble with registration beginning at 10:30am and lunch shortly after; shotgun start at noon. Bids for silent auction items can be placed all day. Plan on registering before the tournament as it will be limited to 32 teams to ensure brisk play. Registration can be handled online at: http://marygroveservices.org/ or call (314) 830-6286.
This tournament was started by its namesake, Jeff Clinton, and all the proceeds go towards the continuance of Marygrove’s mission. Clinton was on the Board of Directors of Marygrove for 12 years. In 1994 he became the Chief Operating Officer of Grey Eagle Distributors, and despite all of his business responsibilities he continued his involvement in Marygrove. Clinton passed away in 2002, and since then the tournament has been held in his honor. Marygrove board member and Chief Marketing Officer of GatewayCDI Conrad Franey says, "Marygrove was always a special place to Jeff, and I know that the golf tournament was one of his favorite events. Year after year Jeff would call all of us to enlist our support for the tournament. We enjoyed great golf, good friends, cold beer and many laughs with Jeff. I'm certain he wants this tradition to continue."

Marygrove was founded in 1849 as the House of the Good Shepherd and is located in Florissant. Today, the agency assists over 170 youth per day through all services: residential (long and short-term); an on-campus special education school; transitional living (includes group homes and therapeutic foster homes); independent living (in off-site, scattered apartments); overnight crisis care (including a crisis nursery) and respite care and services to homeless youth. An on-campus medical clinic supports these services. Recently, the crisis services and transitional programs have increased the capacity to serve in order to meet the changing needs of the community. The main goal of all services is to teach the child or young adult to manage his or her mental illness so that he or she can move into a less restrictive environment, such as with a family member, or learn to live independently.
