Ferguson-Florissant Development Center's Tuition Rate Rises

Parents with children in the child development centers will have to open their wallets a bit more for the upcoming year.

Wednesday, the Ferguson-Florissant board of education approved an increase in the centers’ tuition.

Weekly tuition for 3, 4 and 5-year olds will increase to $174, while the daily rate will be $37. For 2 year olds, the weekly tuition rate will be $184, and the daily rate will be $39.

According to the board’s agenda, the weekly rate increases by $5, while the daily rate will be a $1 increase.  Also, the 2-year-old rate remains high as the centers take a smaller class load.

The increases will go into effect Aug. 1, 2012.
