Ferguson-Florissant Parents, Teachers Have Opportunity to Voice Concerns
District hosts first townhall meeting with residents on Tuesday night.

welcomed more than 70 officials, administrators, teachers, parents and students to the district’s first townhall meeting Tuesday night.
McCoy introduced parents, grandparents and students to a number of his administrators and spoke to a number of goals and priorities the district had for its students, but he made it clear that parents play a key role in the lives of students.

Another big chunk of the meeting focused on public comments and questions from parents and teachers, including questions about the , technological resources as well as volunteering and a districtwide uniform policy.
But a great deal of the remarks commended McCoy and his staff on the focus and drive of the district.

“It’s helping me be a better parent,” Archilla Buford said of the Edline and homework hotline that has been established for middle school students.
“I feel really good about my kids being in the ,” she said following the meeting.
The townhall meeting was the first townhall meeting held by the district. The next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 7.
