FERGUSON-FLORISSANT TEACHER RECEIVES PEABODY LEADERS IN EDUCATION AWARD

FLORISSANT, MO, May 22, 2014  --  Amy Freet, vocal music and strings teacher at Airport Elementary School in the Ferguson-Florissant School District, has been awarded a Peabody Energy Leaders in Education Award.  Mrs. Freet is one of just 33 recipients of the award in the Midwest in the 2013-14 school year.

 

Each year, the Leaders in Education program recognizes dedicated and compassionate educational professionals, from teachers and coaches to librarians and counselors, who help children achieve their true potential.  Mrs. Freet was selected by a committee of top educators and business leaders to receive the honor and $1,000 award.
