Florissant Driver Seriously Injured in Accident on I-270
The early morning accident left traffic on the interstate at a standstill for more than 40 minutes.
An early Sunday morning accident on northbound Interstate 270 brought traffic to a standstill for more than 40 minutes.
Patrick Biondo, 42, of Florissant, drove on I-270 when he didn’t yield to another vehicle in the next lane, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol. The back of Biondo’s car struck the front of a 1997 Jeep Wrangler.
Biondo’s car was totaled from the accident, and he sustained serious injuries. Robertson Fire and Rescue took him to DePaul Hospital.

He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, according to the report.
