Florissant Man, Others Escape From Pike County Jail Saturday

William John Thomas Wilkerson Jr. broke out of jail with four others and may be hiding in the St. Louis area.

A Florissant man and four others are on the run after escaping from a Pike County jail Saturday night.

William John Thomas Wilkerson Jr. escaped along with Jacob A. Darnell, Jason A. Darnell, Joseph A. Verive and Emanual G. Chatman.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Wilkerson was being held for stealing anhydrous ammonia in 2008. The five escaped late Saturday night and were seen being driving in a turquoise 1993 Chevrolet Suburban SUV. Authorities believe that the men may have contacts in the St. Louis area to be hidden.

Anyone who have seen these men or might know of their location should call local law enforcement or the Pike County Sheriff’s Office at 573-324-3202.
