Several burglaries occurred in the area last week.

Aug. 8

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 1500 block of Bay Meadows. Thieves entered the residence after breaking a garage window and forcing open the kitchen door. The residents had not reported any items missing.

A second-degree burglary took place in the 1800 block of Patterson Rd. Police found no signs of forcible entry, but thieves took a flat-screen TV.

Police responded to a second-degree burglary in the 2200 block of Liberty Dr. Thieves entered a kitchen window and stole two TVs, a video game system and a laptop.

A first-degree burglary took place in the 3100 block of Leisurewood. A burglar forced himself into an occupied condo. One of the residents called the police while the burglar left the scene. Police arrested him in a nearby neighborhood and identified him as a 62-year-old St. Louis County resident. Police have sought warrants.
