Pinnacle’s groups, who many happen to be from out of state according to a press release, have been offering alarm system upgrades and new systems to residents, but often leaving a fearful and threatening impression on residents.

Some of the complaints include that the sales people are saying the worth of the resident’s house and knowing that they know how much money they have in the house.

Stuart Dean, vice president of corporate communications for Pinnacle, emailed Patch with a statement concerning the complaints. It reads as follows:

"As is standard in many industries including home security, potential customers go through a pre-qualifying process to ensure their eligibility for our services including credit scores and home ownership. We believe this is a simple misunderstanding. We have a code of conduct and a high standard of compliance within the company and though we are looking into the matter, we are confident the concerns mentioned are without merit."

Mayor Tom Schneider and Police Chief William Karabas have encouraged residents to contact the police department if further problems persist with the sales people.
