Florissant Police Make Arrest in Connection with Valerie Butler Case

On Sunday afternoon, the Florissant police announced the arrest of in connection to the investigation. On Friday, according to KSDK reports, authorities labeled Tripp as a person of interest in the case. 

The body of Valerie Butler, a Maryland Heights woman who went missing in early February, was discovered in Bridgeton on March 3. 

Tripp has been charged with abandonment of a corpse, and his bond has been set at $50,000. He's been transferred to the St. Louis County jail, according to a press release.
