Florissant Resident and U.S. Army Soldier Honored

Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis recently presented U.S. Army Sgt. Damon Alonzo Brooks of Florissant, Mo., with a recognition plaque in appreciation of his efforts in honoring hospice Veterans as a part of Unity Hospice’s Hospice for Heroes Veteran program.

Sgt. Brooks serves as an Assistant Center Commander at Metro North Recruiting Station in St. Louis, Mo., where he assists in the daily recruiting operations throughout Greater St. Louis. In the effort to recognize the many sacrifices Veterans have made for our country, Sgt. Brooks has attended countless Veteran ceremonies on behalf of Unity Hospice. At his most recent honoring of a U.S. Army Veteran, Unity Hospice honored Sgt. Brooks in appreciation for the time he has committed to Hospice for Heroes.

A North St. Louis City native, Sgt. Brooks currently resides in Florissant, Mo.
