Florissant Residents OK Charter Amendments
Residents approve all three propositions to amend the city's charter.

Florissant residents approved all three amendments to the city’s charter Tuesday night.
Propositions 2 and 3 will align the city’s charter with the St. Louis County Board of Elections schedules. Proposition 2 amends the charter in case of a tied race in an election, a new election will be called in accordance with the board of elections schedules. Proposition 3 updates the charter to call for an election for a vacated office that has more than 180 days left until expiration under the board of elections calendar.
Proposition 1 allows residents who have been redistricted to run for an elected office in that new ward, as long as they have been residents at that address for more than a year.
