Florissant Voter Turnout Looks Low

“They’re not waiting in line,” Zacheis said. “They’re in and out.”

Around other poll places, it seemed to be a different story.

At , several cars and trucks drove up and parked, but it wasn’t to vote. Dan Boyle campaign supporter Roann Keeven said that parents arrived to pick up their children from a preschool located inside of the church.

She said only 75 people had turned out to the polls.

That’s more than the number at .

Denny Wynn worked outside of the poll on behalf of Judge Kevin Kelly. He had been working since noon and said that 40 to 45 people had turned out there for the entire day.

He said several people showed up to vote but had been turned away as they lived in unincorporated areas and not in Florissant.

Wynn did have a prediction about the results.

“It’s definitely going to be an every-vote-counts situation,” he said.

Polls close at 7 p.m.
