What is Democracy? According to Wikipedia, Democracy is a form of government in which all eligible citizens participate equally—either directly or through elected representatives—in the proposal, development, and creation of laws.
Who is this Gerry guy? Wikipedia has a long answer , but lets just say he is a guy who has recently taken advantage for the “tea party” group by manipulating district boundaries to create a partisan advantage by districts. For example, in the 2012 elections, he was successful in getting a majority of GOP House members elected even though the majority of citizens voted for non-tea party members. This guy taking away our representatives. Representatives, who should be proposing, developing and creating democratic laws.
We need a law that bands Gerry from participating in selecting federal and local districts. A law that will let all eligible citizens participate equally when electing representatives.
