Florissant Rings in 225 Years in Style
Residents, officials and re-enactors turned out to wish Florissant a Happy Birthday at Old St. Ferdinand Shrine.
The played the host and backdrop to the City of Florissant’s 225th Anniversary Celebration Friday.
The evening began with a plaque dedication honoring Father Pierre Jean De Smet and , their contributions to the early Florissant community and the founding of the city itself.
Feast Day Mass, live music, a book fair, traditional re-enactors and a fish fry with clam chowder followed.
