Involved Parent Ready to Serve on School Board
Brian Scott Ebert looks forward to building further cooperation between communities and the school district.
What’s your educational background?
I graduated from Jennings High School in 1979. I attended the University of Missouri-St. Louis taking business courses, St. Louis Community College, Florissant Valley for continuing education courses in Electrical Theory and Digital Transmission, AT&T Center for Learning-Dallas, Texas for Multi-Plexor/Light Guide Systems/Fiber Optics.
How many children do you have?
I have three children. They attend Elementary School. Jarod and Lauren are in Third Grade and Nicholas is in Second Grade.
What issues are important to the School Board/ District as a whole?
There are three issues that I believe that are important to both the School District and the School Board:

- Financial responsibility
- Maintaining state accreditation.
- Classroom sizes. More hands on/continuity with teachers and students.
We can never forget our customers are every student we serve.
What makes you a great candidate?
I believe I am a viable candidate. I work hard, I am approachable and open-minded to what people have to say. I have been a North County resident my whole life and believe a strong school district equals a strong community. My children go to school in the district, and I am an involved parent with my children's schooling. I am on the District's High Achievement for All (HAFA) committee, and at Combs Elementary, I volunteer to teach an after-school class for our Distinguished Scholars Program. I am also very active in our PTO and was a Cub Scout Assistant.

Why did you decide to run for the school board?
I want to serve on the Ferguson-Florissant School Board because I am an involved and concerned parent who believes in our district, our neighborhood and community.
Do you have a message to voters?
My message is we all need to work together: the National Education Association, administration, parents and community to not forget who our customers are, the students. I believe we all care and want to help make sure every student succeeds. That’s what we do to promote a successful learning atmosphere is good for our students, our district's employees, and our Ferguson and Florissant communities.
