McCleur High School Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Musical Theater Program
The theater department put on a special show Monday as part of a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary.
McCluer High School students, staff and families gathered at the James J. Eagan Center on Monday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the schoolβs musical theater program with a special show.
The revue featured 20 musical numbers selected from the schoolβs 50-year history of musical theater, the school district said.
Performers included 40 current and former students under the direction of McCluer's theater director, Doug Erwin.

Erwin is also the fine arts content leader for the Ferguson-Florissant School District.
"One of the greatest benefits of the performance was watching our current students learning from our alumni and hearing the alumni share with our students how the skills they learned at McCluer have helped them since graduation," Erwin said.Β
