McCluer North Heads into First Football Season Battle
Jefferson City gives first test to the Stars' season.

The football Stars will kick off their 2011 season on Saturday at 1 p.m. as they host the Jefferson City Jays.
is seeking revenge after losing to the tradition-rich Jays, 41-10, last season. Jefferson City, which went 6-5 in 2010, returns four starters on offense and five on defense.
Senior running back Devon Moore powers the Jays attack. Jefferson City is solid at both the linebacker and defensive back positions. Head coach Ted LePage is entering his sixth season.
For the , seniors Galen Brown and Bryan Herd have engaged in a battle for playing time at quarterback all summer. Senior running back Keith Smith is back after rushing for 401 yards on 79 carries in 2010.
The main concern for veteran coach Jim Schottmueller is a defense that returns just one experienced player in linebacker Senior LaQuane Young.
