One-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Car Crash
The accident took place near the streets of Aubuchon and Costello in Florissant on Sunday night.

A two-car accident near Aubuchon and Costello streets in Florissant on Sunday night left a one-year-old child with serious injuries.
According to Sgt. Kevin Boschert of the , a sports-utility vehicle ran a stop sign and struck a Honda accord, which carried a 34-year-old man, 29-year-old woman and a one-year-old child, and caused the car to flip on its side.
The one-year-old, who was not restrained or in a car seat at the time of the accident, according to Boschert, was airlifted to a nearby hospital. The child suffered serious but non-threatening injuries.

The woman was also taken to the hospital for non-serious injuries.
Boschert said that the driver had been cited for failing to stop at the stop sign, and alcohol could have played a role in the accident. Further charges are pending until the investigation is finalized.
