Operation Wild Lands Honeysuckle Hack at the Mississippi Greenway: Riverfront Trail

Volunteers needed to help remove invasive honeysuckle and beautify the Mississippi Greenway: Riverfront Trail October 3rd from 9am-12pm

Join us & volunteer to assist with stewarding the natural environment on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 9am- 12 noon. Volunteers will help remove invasive bush honeysuckle roots at Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing. Your assistance will enable our team to plant natives in this area, enhancing wildlife habitat and creating a healthier environment for all.

To get to the meeting spot, drive back to the flood wall. There is a small parking area on the river side of the wall. The Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing and Great Rivers Greeenway rest stop is about 200 yds to the south.

We will provide necessary tools, gloves, snacks, and water for this event. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Ages 15+ are invited to join us; youth under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
