Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis Names Florissant Resident Employee of the Year
Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis proudly names KaSandra Hardin of Florissant, Mo., as the 2016 recipient of the Employee of the Year Award

ST. LOUIS β January 5, 2017 β Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis proudly names KaSandra Hardin of Florissant, Mo., as the 2016 recipient of the Employee of the Year Award.
Hardin serves as registered nurse case manager for Unity Hospice patients residing in the Greater St. Louis area. She has demonstrated commitment to excellence in her work and dedication to her patients in the two years she has been employed with Unity Hospice.

As a registered nurse case manager at Unity Hospice, Hardin is responsible for the identification and coordination of care for terminally ill patients. She initiates and oversees the patientβs plan of care to meet the specific needs of that individual and their family to ensure peace and comfort during their time receiving care from Unity Hospice.
Hardin came to Unity Hospice with 25 years of clinical experience working within the senior care, nursing home and hospital settings. Prior to earning her nursing degree, Hardin served as a medical assistant and pharmacy technician. Later, she served as a rehab program manager and registered nurse at a St. Louis area nursing home before joining Unity Hospice.

Hardin received her associateβs degree in nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing, formerly Deaconess College of Nursing, in St. Louis. She later received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from Central Methodist University - Fayette, Mo.
A St. Louis native, Hardin devotes much of her time watching her youngest son play on the St. Louis University High School Varsity Basketball team. Her oldest son currently serves as specialist in the U.S. Army, from which he recently received The Army Achievement Medal. She also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and exploring all the shopping that Greater St. Louis has to offer. Hardin is a current resident of Florissant, Mo.
Unity Hospiceβs Employee of the Year Award recognizes employees who have demonstrated extraordinary devotion to their work and to our patients.
