Update: Police Find Body of Elderly Dementia Patient

An elderly man, , has been found dead.

Florissant Police found the body of Emmit Clifton, 84, on Wednesday afternoon in a creek near New Halls Ferry Rd. and Greenway Chase Parkway. His family confirmed the body’s identity.

Clifton was last seen at his residence in the on Tuesday morning and was later reported missing. He suffered from stage 2 dementia.

The St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy on the body to determine the cause of death.
