WGU Missouri Awards Scholarships to Florissant Residents

Two Florissant residents receive $2,000 scholarships from WGU Missouri

WGU Missouri recently awarded two $2,000 scholarships to Florissant residents Kiara Bell and Shigayta Smith, who are both pursuing their graduate degrees from the nonprofit, fully online university.

Bell, a teacher at Koch Elementary School in the Riverview Gardens School District, will soon begin working on her Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. Smith, who works at YWCA Head Start of Metropolitan St. Louis, will soon be starting her MBA in Healthcare Management.

Both women were surprised by WGU Missouri representatives at their places of employment with news they had been awarded the scholarships.
