• Football Recap: Odessa Piles Up the Points Against Clinton (maxpreps.com) — Harrisonville football fans will see their Wildcats host a familiar foe Friday night, when Odessa visits for a 7 p.m. kickoff after routing Clinton 54–7. Odessa comes in 2–0 and riding a four-game road winning streak, while Clinton regroups to face Center. Expect a high-energy matchup that could test Harrisonville's defense early in the season.
• Looming ballot deadline complicates GOP appeal of Missouri redistricting decision (kcur.org) — Harrisonville residents may want to watch how state Sen. Rick Brattin, a local Republican running for Congress, is helping challenge Missouri's latest redistricting ruling in federal court. Missouri officials are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to let them use a GOP-favored map for November, while voting-rights advocates push to keep earlier district lines. The outcome could reshape representation for the 5th District.
