April DECA Event Canceled, Rescheduled for May 27

An event scheduled for April 29 for DECA studentsΒ  has been canceled. The event's purpose was to organize a civil consciousness project to increase community awareness for in Hazelwood, and to raise money for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. It is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

The event has been canceled due to recent inclement weather and a large amount of standing water in the park, according to t Communication Coordinator Charles Bolinger.

This event has been rescheduled for Friday, May 27 in Brookes Park from 7 - 9 p.m.
