April Showers Brings In More Than 1-Million Items in Girl Scout Collection for Local Families

Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri collected more than 1.1 million personal care items for local families and individuals in need during the 14th annual April Showers personal care item drive.
The items will be distributed to hundreds of pantries and shelters throughout eastern Missouri. Those who missed the collection drive or wish to contribute additional items may deliver these to any Dierbergs Market in Missouri through May 7.
βWe greatly appreciate the generosity of those in our community who contributed to the success of this project, along with the Girl Scouts and volunteers whose efforts made April Showers possible,β Donna K. Martin, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri said. βThese personal care items will truly make a difference in the lives of so many families in our region.β
