Families in need of financial assistance to help pay for their child’s health care treatments, services or equipment not covered or not fully covered by their commercial health insurance plan can apply for a UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation grant.
Qualifying families can receive up to $5,000 for their child, who must be 16 or younger. More than 3,500 grants have been awarded nationwide since 2007.
