
With temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, First Bank
employees raised $5,200 and donated 53 new air conditioners to EnergyCare, a non-profit organization located in St. Louis.
The donation took place on Thursday at First Bankβs Operation Center in Hazelwood
βI cannot thank our employees enough for their generous
donations,β said Ed Furman, First Bank Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer who organized the employee effort with First Bank, Inc. matching their funds. βTheir spirited contributions will help keep many people
cool and safe this summer.βΒ Helping Furman load the air conditioners onto the van was EnergyCareβs Dennis Kelley (Executive Director) along with First Bankβs Angela Pinex (Community Affairs Officer) and Steve Grzybinski (Vice President, Information Security Manager).

Since 1999, First Bank employees have donated 514 AC units and 1,369 electric blankets to EnergyCare for a combined total of $87,000.
EnergyCare www.energycare.org relies on generous
donations to help to keep low-income, homebound and medically-at-risk people safe. EnergyCare provides energy-related services and information for the low-income elderly, ill, disabled and families with young children in St. Louis City and County. Donations are tax deductible.
