UnitedHealthcare Childrenβs Foundation (UHCCF) is seeking grant applications from Missouri families in need of financial assistance to cover their childβs medical expenses.Β Β
For qualifying families, the grants willΒ help pay for their childβs health care treatments, services or equipment not covered, or only partially covered, by their commercial health insurance plans.Β
Qualifying families can receive up to $5,000 to help pay for medical services and equipment, such as physical, occupational and speech therapy; counseling services; surgeries; prescriptions; wheelchairs; orthotics; eyeglasses; and hearing aids.Β

In 2010,Β UHCCF awarded nearly 800 grants to families across the United States for treatments associated with medical conditions including speech and developmental delays, hearing loss, autism, cystic fibrosis, Down syndrome, ADHD, ADD and cerebral palsy.Β
