National Girl Scout Cookie Day: Troops Visit Police Stations, Fire Houses and Stl USO

On Friday, Feb. 8, Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri troops will visit fire departments and police stations throughout the St. Louis area between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

They will enjoy "Milk and Cookies" with police officers and fire fighters in honor of National Girl Scout Cookie Day.

In addition, from noon to 7 p.m., Girl Scouts will be stationed at a cookie booth outside the James S. McDonnell USO at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. All cookie orders placed at the USO will be donated to US military personnel.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the largest girl-led enterprise in the country, engaging girls with five skills they will use throughout their lives-goalsetting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. Many successful women leaders tell us that their first entrepreneurial experience came from selling Girl Scout Cookies.
