Hazelwood Resident Attending College Receives William Woods University Theatre Award

Stephen Chamineak of Hazelwood won the William Woods University (WWU) Theatre Award for "Best Actor in a Supporting Role."

He won the award for his performances in "Fuddy Meers" acting in the role of Millet.

Known as the WWU Theatre Guild Awards, best "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" is determined by a group of faculty, staff and community members, accroding to a WWU press release.

Using criteria set forth by the theatre department and the guild, directors from each main stage production submit nominees for the awards and the guild then votes on them. Students are not allowed to vote.
