A crop of proud Hazelwood School District students will be graduating and taking their oath to remain drug free Thursday.
Cold Water Elementary School fifth-grade students will graduate from the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program this week.
To graduate from the anti-drug program, students had to create an original pledge, detailing how they will abstain from drugs as well as write five-paragraph essays.

St. Louis County Police Officer Sammie Bush, who has worked with the students in the program, will select one essay from each fifth-grade class to read during the ceremony.
The ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. in the school's gym.
