HSD Administrators Receive Doctoral Degrees in Education

administrators Darrell Strong and Cheryl Harris recently earned their doctorates in education from Maryville University.

Strong has served as the principal at Hazelwood Central High School for the past three years. He was recently named assistant superintendent for learning for HSD.

β€œEarning my doctorate shows the entire school community that their leader is a learning leader,” said Strong in a statement. β€œIt’s important to model what the expectations are to staff and students in the building. Being a model is important.”

Harris said educational leaders from Parkway, Rockwood, Lindbergh and Troy school districts were also in the program.
