More than 100 students in the completed the University of Missouri-St. Louis Bridge Program Saturday Academy for 2010 - 11. From October through March on select Saturday’s, the students were focused on strengthening skills in math, science and writing, including college planning and ACT preparation.
The UMSL Bridge Program provides high school students in grades nine through 12 with “stimulating educational experiences that build strong academic proficiency essential to collegiate success.” Students in the program are taught strategies to enhance writing and communication skills; they learn to prepare for the ACT and have opportunities to explore possible college careers.
Students from across the St. Louis area were recognized at the Bridge Program’s 25th Annual Award Recognition Ceremony, held at the America’s Center.

Established in 1986, the Bridge Program offerings include a Summer Academy Program, Saturday Academy Program and After School Clubs. All Bridge Program components are structured to encourage students to complete high school and pursue post-secondary attainment.
