fifth-grade students in the work after school, gradually transforming one section of a school wall into their own version of Vincent Van Gogh’s β€œStarry Night.”

WithΒ  the guidanceΒ  of art teacher Sue Farel, her students partner with art students that are members of the high school's Positivity Mural Club and its sponsor, art teacher Carla Tuetken.

The mural is a work in progress. Some sections are simply outlines, while other areas have been filled and need touch-up work. One of the updates to Van Gogh’s design was to add figures based on the stick figure art of Keith Haring.
