No More Bullying Event at St. Louis Mills

Each day an estimated 160,000 students in the U.S. refuse to go to school because they dread the physical and verbal aggression of their peers. Plus, according to the National Crime Prevention Center, during 2010 over 40 percent of all teenagers with Internet access reported being bullied online.

On August 4, will host β€œNo More Bullying.” ItΒ  is an event featuring anti-bullying guest speakers, interactive games, prize giveaways, an autograph signing by Rams Alumni, and information for families to learn about the early signs and symptoms of bullying within their children’s schools.

Plus, students can sign a β€œPledge Wall” that will be displayed in St. Louis Mills after the event with a promise to bring awareness to other students going forward.

Guest speakers include:

  • Tina Meier (Megan Meier Foundation), mother of Megan Meier who committed suicide just 3 weeks before her 14th birthday after being cyber-bullied through Myspace by lifelong family friends.
  • Alex Boles, founder of Unwrittenlettersproject.com, will share not only her own story, but the stories of many kids that are bullied daily. Her unwritten Letters Project continues to let bullied kids know that they are not alone and that they can excel in life, no matter what one person says about you.
