Support Dogs, Inc. will host its third annual “Dogs in the
Ruff!” golf tournament on Fri., May 18. The event, which includes an 18-hole four-person scramble, will be held at the Norman K. Probstein Golf Course located at 6141 Lagoon Drive in Forest Park. The tournament is sponsored by Eidelman and Virant Capital, John Deere Reman with beverages provided by Grey Eagle Distributors. This year there is a $10,000 hole-in-one cash prize. Registration
and lunch begin at noon, and the tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. The fund raiser also includes golf with cart, dinner, complimentary beverages, and a silent auction.
Support Dogs, Inc. is a national non-for-profit organization
that offers dignity, hope and independence by providing highly skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely trained dogs to serve the community. Founded in 1981, the organization provides many services including an Assistance Dog program which matches people with various disabilities with a canine partner, a pet visitation therapy dog program called TOUCH (Therapy of Unique Canine Helpers), and a Paws For Reading program that places dogs in school. Support Dogs is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.
Tickets are $100 per person in advance or $400 per
