Support Dogs, Inc. recently hired Leslie Kluge as its
volunteer coordinator.Β Her responsibilities include recruiting volunteers for the organizationβs many
services including the Assistance Dog, TOUCH and Pawsβ programs.Β She also will handle building the volunteer base
and maintaining its success.
Prior to joining Support Dogs, Kluge worked as a non-profit
volunteer consultant for various agencies.Β Her responsibilities included developing new volunteer programs, as well as expanding existing organizationβs efforts.Β She currently sits on the Board of Directors for
Webster-Rockhill Ministries and International Student Ministry-St. Louis.
Support Dogs, Inc. is a national non-for-profit organization
that offers dignity, hope and independence by providing highly skilled service dogs to individuals with disabilities and uniquely trained dogs to serve the community.Β Founded in 1981, the organization provides many services including an Assistance Dog program which matches people with various disabilities with a canine partner, a pet visitation therapy dog program called TOUCH (Therapy of Unique Canine Helpers), and a Paws For Reading
program that places dogs in school.Β Support Dogs is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis.Β
