YMCA Elm Point ECEC Celebrates Grand Opening

New, larger facility will provide educational programs for childrenΒ ages 6 weeks – 12 years

The YMCA Elm Point Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC) will host a grand opening celebration on Saturday, January 5 from 10am - Noon.Β Activities will include giveaways, prizes and refreshments, along with tours of the age-specific classrooms and playgrounds, the gross motor skills room and the family resource room.Β Twenty-six certified instructors will be on hand to explain the various programs and answer questions.Β 

β€œWe are proud to be the newest addition in education to the St. Charles area and love being a part of this great
community,” said Julie Aitken, director of the YMCA Elm Point ECEC.Β  β€œWe look forward to providing a high quality,
safe and convenient recreational and educational environment for children of all abilities.”

The ECEC is the result of merging the St. Charles County Family YMCA Early Childhood Education Center and the Elm
Point Early Childhood Education Center, a process which began in October.Β 

As the largest provider of child care in the state of Missouri, the Y provides a safe, nurturing environment for
children to learn, grow and develop social skills for life.Β  Through Project Construct Curriculum, the Y believes that children learn through play and structured educational activities based around our core values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.Β

TheΒ ECEC is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.Β  The facility is located at 3601 Mueller Road.
