Eating a rainbow of colors daily helps ensure you get all of your vitamins and minerals. And looking at what's in season provides you with just the nutrition your body needs right now.
When I was young, my Mom always made sure we had lots of color on our plate.Β Her Mom taught Β her that when you have all of the colors on your plate, you are sure to be getting all the nutrients your body needs.Β And, I must say, we werenβt sick often.
Eating from the rainbow of colors available to us in vegetables and fruit provides us with vitamins and minerals we canβt get fromanywhere else.Β Sure, you could take a supplement, but then you wouldnβt be getting the entire spectrum of nutrition that food provides.Β This is information that βmanβ hasnβt even figured out yet, but is vital to our health!
