The Junior League of St. Louis (JLSL) is currently acceptingΒ applications for its new member class! In todayβs busy world, women need theΒ opportunity to build new skills, develop new friendships and contribute to theΒ community. Benefits of JLSL membership include: volunteer and leadership training,Β opportunities with like-minded women and community leaders, potential to serve
in leadership positions, insights into community needs and the chance to make aΒ difference in the St. Louis community.
Founded in 1914, JLSL membership draws women from the metropolitan St. LouisΒ area. A diverse organization, the JLSL reaches out to women of all races, religions andΒ national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism.Β Women must be at least 21 years of age and reside within the St. Louis metropolitanΒ area and surrounding counties.
The JLSL offers one new member class per JLSL calendar year starting in September.Β The new member course provides education and training about the structure of JLSLΒ and its role in the community, as well as the opportunity to participate in βhands-onβ activities, fundraising events and numerous social activities throughout the year.Β Successful completion of the program prepares new members for active membership.
