Family Resources and Community Connections, Inc. is hosting its first "Mini-Parenting Education Workshop and Back-to-School" event.
The event will occur at Christian Northwest HealthCare on Sept. 29. Enter through entrance 'A' and enjoy information including but not limited to:
- Parenting Education and Family Wellness
- Child Development
- Effective Communication with Children
- Healthy Relationships with Children
- Tips on getting to know your child’s teachers, principal and other staff
- What to look for in an Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- Mind, Body and Renewal Tips
- Nutrition Information and Tips
- Financial Literacy
Workshops will occur from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Parents attending the workshops will receive school supplies and/or gift certificates for uniforms while supplies last. Due to the adult education format, children need not attend.
