West boys pick up a big win at home but the girls suffer a tough loss on the road.
The varsity boys and girls basketball teams were both in action against Suburban North Conference rival Pattonville High Friday night.
The Wildcat boys, behind a brilliant fourth-quarter defensive effort, pulled out a convincing 56-44 win over the Pirates.
The Lady Wildcats though, couldn’t convert several crucial scoring chances in the late going, and suffered a 68-57 loss on Senior Night at Pattonville.
