Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band to Play Family Arena This Weekend

How often do you get to help someone else just by going out on a Friday night? This week, anyone who attends a concert at the has that chance.
has announced a $10,000 challenge to St. Louis and the surrounding communities to buy tickets for Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band Benefit Concert on Friday. The proceeds from the event will benefit Corporal Todd Nicely.Β
Nicely, ofΒ Arnold, is one of only three quad amputees to survive the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Although Sinise is the spokesperson for MIDAS, he is best known for his role inΒ Forrest GumpΒ as Lt. Dan and his current role onΒ CSI: NY, as well as dozens of other movies over the years. On average, Sinise also does 35 USO Concerts each year.
For every ticket bought and/or donated to a veteran, up to $10,000, Midas will donate one ticket to a deserving St. Louis veteran through the USO of Missouri.

"This Memorial Day, we ask that you remember the veterans that have fought for our country," saidΒ Clif Wilkerson, owner of four St. Louis-area Midas locations. "To honor them, we challenge St. Louis to buy tickets to the Lt. Dan Band Concert featuring Gary Sinise. For every ticket bought and/or donated to a veteran, we will donate another ticket to a deserving St. Louis veteran. We want to thank those individuals that have put their lives on the line to protect and defend our country."
The Tunnels to Towers foundation, with the help ofΒ Sinise, has committed to building smart homes for the three United States Military personnel who have paid the ultimate price by losing their arms and legs in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
"We also salute and want to help build Todd a Smart Home to assist him in becoming more independent," Wilkerson said. "So, please join us in our endeavor to build Todd a home."
