Hazelwood Crime: Burglar Hangs Out, Eats Resident's Food

Sept. 14


Burglary: Someone broke into an apartment in theΒ 5400 block ofΒ Knoll Creek Drive, between Aug. 23 and Sept. 4, 2013,Β stayed there for a period of time eating the resident'sΒ food and stealing several items.

Property Damage: A juvenile threw a rock through a window in theΒ 7300 block ofΒ Berkridge Drive.

Assault: A person was assaulted in theΒ 7300 block ofΒ N. Hanley Road. The assailant ran away before police arrived.Β 

Sept. 15

Stealing: A person broke into a vehicle overnight at the La Quitna Inn, located atΒ 300 Taylor Rd., andΒ stole some tools.

Mental Health Crisis: A person staying at Days Inn, located atΒ 7350 N. Hanley Rd., toΒ several unknown pills in an attempt to commit suicide. The person was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident: A teenager driving a car hit another car and left the scene in theΒ 6900 block ofΒ Berkridge Court. The teen was later found and arrested. He was later released to his mother.

Burglary: A person broke into a residence in theΒ 8700 block ofΒ Sieloff Drive and stole electronics.Β 

Mental Health Crisis: A resident in theΒ 200 block ofΒ Sadonia Avenue voluntarily committed into Depaul Healthcare for mental health treatment.

Dog Bite: A dog bit its owner in theΒ 200 block ofΒ Manning Avenue.
