Hazelwood Man Suffers Minor Injuries in I-70 Car Crash

A Hazelwood man received minor injuries in an early morning car accident on Interstate 70 Friday. 

The accident occurred after a 2006 Volvo hit a 2002 Dodge Stratus in the right lane of eastbound I-70, just east of Lake St. Louis Boulevard, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol report. The Stratus rotated and came into contact with the Volvo a number of times before both came to a halt. 

Patrick Lieser, of Hazelwood and the driver of the Stratus, received minor injuries. He was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital for minor injuries. 

Both drivers wore seat belts, according to the report.
