Hazelwood Patch Editor Candace Jarrett to Return Wednesday

As you might already be aware, Hazelwood Patch editor Candace Jarrett has been away since July getting to know her newest baby. I got to see him briefly last week, and he is absolutely beautiful. Candace and her family are very blessed.

While I know that she will miss being with her family full-time, I’m also sure she’s very excited to jump back into her role as your editor.

As we prepare for Candace's return, I want to take this opportunity to thank the community for supporting me and sticking with us during my time as interim editor.

Specifically, I’d like to thank Tim Davidson from the City of Hazelwood, Andy Eagan from the Hazelwood Police Department, Diana Gulotta and her staff from the Hazelwood School District, and all of the other community members who helped me share the news.

I’d also like to thank my fellow St. Louis-area Patch editors and regional editors, who have been incredibly helpful during these last 14 weeks.

Most of all, I’d like to thank our readers and our friends for the great Facebook and Twitter conversations, comments and debates here on the site, news tips and emails and even for pointing out the occasional error. The fact is that if not for our readers; none of us would be here doing what we love. So thank you!

Please help me offer Candace a warm welcome back to her post as your trusty editor. If you’d like to keep up with me, I’ll be moving to Florissant soon for 14 or so weeks, filling in for Florissant Patch editor Aja Junior as she prepares to bring her own little bundle of joy into the world. (I mean really soon--by Monday!)

And, you’ll probably catch me around town doing some shopping or having a cup of coffee somewhere. Don’t be afraid to stop and say hi—I love talking to my neighbors!
