Hazelwood West Lady Wildcats Knock Off Pattonville, Advance To District Championship Game
Junior Mia Williams hit six three-pointers to lead West to the win.
CREVE COEUR—Thanks to a dominant defensive effort and a sizzling shooting performance by junior Mia Williams, the girls varsity basketball team won a Class 5 District 5 semifinal game, 61-47, over Pattonville Thursday night at De Smet High.
Williams hit six three-pointers, and scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Lady Wildcats to a berth in the district championship game on Saturday afternoon against defending state champion Incarnate Word Academy.
