was host to Hazelwood’s Summer BMX/Skate Competition June 24. Participants of various ages enjoyed the chance to show their skills at the Hazelwood Skate/BMX Park located behind the . Sponsored in partnership with PlanNine Skate Park, athletes performed in four categories:
- Age 15 and Under Skateboard
- Age 16 and Over Skateboard
- Age 15 and Under BMX
- Age 16 and Over BMX
Sing Me a Fiction provided the live soundtrack to the competition. The Top 3 finishers in each category were awarded with cash prizes. There was also a raffle for a new BMX bike for those who purchased special tickets.
