North County Inc. Honors HSD Staff, Celebrates Its '30 in their Thirties'
Honorees considered part of North County's '30 in their Thirties' to be honored Friday.

On Friday, (NCI) will honor its β30 Leaders in their Thirtiesβ at the Norwood Hills Country Club.
Each year, NCI salutes 30 people in the North St. Louis County community who work and volunteer to enhance the area.
Based in Hazelwood, this year North County Incorporated is recognizing four staff members as recipients of '30 Leaders in their Thirties" awards. This includes two from .

Those recipients are Rhonda Ely, principal of Larimore Elementary School; Sheilah Fitzgerald, principal of Jana Elementary School; Bill Mitchell, business and marketing teacher at ; and Loraine Raziq, assistant principal at Hazelwood West High School, are among 30 winners selected by NCI to be recognized at a luncheon at Norwood Hills Country Club.
Ely joined HSD in 1999, and has served as the principal of Larimore Elementary School since 2010. Previously, she was an assistant principal at Hazelwood Central Middle School and an instructional specialist at Arrowpoint Elementary School.

Under Fitzgeraldβs leadership, Jana Elementary has been recognized by the state of Missouri for two consecutive years for its successful Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) program, receiving bronze-level honors.
Mitchell has worked in education for 13 years. He has been with Hazelwood West High School since 2001, teaching business and marketing. In 2010, he helped establish the Speakers Series, a partnership between Hazelwood West and local business leaders who share their career experience with students, according to an HSD statement.
Raziq has worked as an assistant principal at Hazelwood West High School since 2008. She joined the district in 2000 as a social studies teacher at Hazelwood West High and served in roles such as summer school site coordinator, swimming and diving coach and dean of students.
North County Incorporated, has partnered with the North County Suburban Journals and Gateway Television News Network to recognize North County leaders in their thirties who are making a significant, positive impact in the community.
