North County Incorporated Launches Marketing Website

This summer, as you and your family are looking for fun, inexpensive things to do, you may decide you want to stay close to home. With gas prices at an all-time high, you might decide that now is the time to take advantage of all the wonderful activities and areas to explore right here in North St. Louis County. 

Hazelwood based North County Incorporated (NCI) recently launched an online resource, www.ExploreNorthStLouisCounty.com, which is meant to serve as a tool that markets all of the area’s attractions. 

President and CEO of NCI Rebecca Zoll told Hazelwood Patch the website serves as a conduit to the communities, businesses, schools and other services in North County.

The site features North County’s 47 local governments, along with those that belong to unincorporated North St. Louis County. In addition, local parks and recreation, museums, historical sites, entertainment, art, festivals and more are featured on the website for easy access to all the fun and exciting attractions right in your backyard. 

Zoll said that NCI’s new website is the most comprehensive online resource in the area, making it stand out above others of its kind. One interesting fact you’ll find on the site is that North County boasts more square footage of preserved park land than anywhere else in the St. Louis area. 

“It is exciting to be able to go to one online resource and find all of the great things North County has to offer families and individuals looking for something to do in our community," said NCI Board Chair Patty Gould, director of the School-Business Partnership for Pattonville School District. "I was amazed to learn about the huge number of parks available in our area and the great amenities each one had to offer. This is a very handy website. 

NCI is on a roll and isn’t planning to stop anytime soon. The organization accepted a $10,000 check from U.S. Bank Vice President and District Manager Sandra Weber on May 13. Zoll said the grant will be used to develop an economic community profile for the North St. Louis County area. 

NCI, which was established in 1977, is a regional development organization that acts as a catalyst to define and advocate economic and community development for North St. Louis County, Zoll said. The board is comprised of community leaders as well as local business owners.
